| So pioneer have finally released - dvd dual layer capability? So this pretty
much is a complete drive now, with high speed buring and both + and - dual
layer right? Might be time to finally upgrade.

| I think he means -r dual layer and this is the first burner to have that
feature in addition to +r dl. i don't know how far away the -r fl media is
though

DVD-R Dual Layer/8X DVD+RW support will be available via firmware update
after each format has been officially released.
RPC setting
The DVR-109 includes Regional Playback Control(RPC Phase II Mode). Region
changes can be made up to five(5) times including the initial setting. Be
aware that the fifth(5th) change will be PERMANENT. Therefore, please use
caution when changing the region code on the DVR-109 The method of changing
the region code number may vary on the decoder or operating system used.

| Yes but as noted below, i was asking up - dl capability. I am fully aware
that the previous model had + DL Only thing missing on these drives is ram
recordability. Though i guess thats a niche market these days.
