earlier today when i was using the tracker ball to navigate at times
the pointer wanted to move over to the right of screen, this got so
bad that if i touched the tracker ball the pointer would disappear
over to the right of screen/desktop and no action from moving the ball
would make it move to the left side or back to centre.

i uninstalled the logitech software and fitted a normal mouse this
works fine.

i tried reinstalling the logitech software but again this did not
solve the problem.

can this problem be fixed or is the tracker ball kapoot?

or is the port where the tracker ball plugs into at fault?

yes dee,

i omitted to say that but then when it needs a clean it does different
things this action was like it had a mind of its own i wanted it to go
left it wanted to go right and that's what it did.

wow is this a backward step going back to using a serial mouse how
slow can things get.

had a quick look at that site will look deeper later when time
permits.

i got a hint from someone said to pull the usnit to pieces and give it
a good deep clean did that using a 3" pure bristle paint brush and
cotton bud and metho', works a treat now.
