If you're running XP you can use Disk Management to partition it.

Thanks for the tip Rod, Im running XP Pro and logged in as admin and still having problems. Disk mang. sees the drive but gives me no options to partition. When I right click drive (I) at computer management/disk management as the screenshot shows,

there is no option to make a logical partition.

Its already partitioned. You just need to format it now.

Because its already partitioned with one partition for the entire drive.

You dont say which of the FAQs in the second one you are having a problem with.
