Dear Phill,

As I reported previously, we are now just about full-time devoted to
creating complex fantasies for media reception and dissemination to
discredit same.

This operation is the brainchild of former Chairman Powell who
developed it over many years beginning with his assignment to Vietnam
(2nd tour) to create smoke and deploy mirrors in order to distract or
mislead the media regarding their investigation of the My Lai
Massacre.

Genl Powell bragged of his many intricately planned media deceptions
during Gulf War One. I firmly believe that it was he, or someone on
his staff, who was behind sending the phony documents to Mr. Burkett
who fed them to CBS News. The goal was to halt the revelations about
the CINC's poor showing during the Vietnam War. Needless to say, the
CBS game was a stunning success for Mr. Rumsfled's well-funded and
equipped team of 'Hollywood' script writers. And with the success of
the CBS game the gloves have been taken off across the board. There
are all sorts of manufactured fantasies produced from a bottomless
budget and literally dozens upon dozens of operatives being deployed
to outwit and mislead credible journalists into publishing fabricated
accounts made to look genuine to them.

At this point I don't need to say that the purpose for these "games"
is intended to make accurate reports appear unbelievable amidst a
torrent of reports by previously credible reporters. Mr. Rather was
the largest operation to date. Virtually every media house is now the
target of a great or small game being played on their most prestigious
people.

In the end the public won't know what to believe, while the previously
unbelievable is being carried out under their noses.

The Bush people hate the news media. The media has time and time again
thwarted their greatest PR hopes. The media has cost them many, many
setbacks with Abu Gharib being one of the most devastating.

I send (DEA Watch) this information with my strongest recommendation
that (DEA Watch) be on (its) guard against bogus reports authored by
Intell analysts and shrinks who seek to discredit other writers
published by DEA Watch. Continue to demand facts and names. We can
make the gullible and the prostitutes in the media believe anything we
can supply phony facts to convince their already greedy minds to
gobble up and spread like they were the Gospel Truth. But the one
thing we can't manufacture are real people who can be proven to have
been there and done that.
