If you haven't already, you will want to read up on how the great poet, Edgar Allan Poe, was said to have died.
Supposedly, Poe was going to vote and was stopped by a group of thugs. These tuff guys had been hired to get people to vote a certain way. Apparently, Poe would not give in to their demands, so they killed him.
Fascinating story. Still happens in some places, or so I've heard. Since we are less than perfect, then we can easily believe that reforms in voting and other things are always needed and welcome.
Anyone who tries to tell you differently is suspect. They most likely have some kind of unscrupulous hidden agenda!
You want REAL Election Reform???
Try figuring out a way to get EVERYBODY to the voting booth. People love having the freedom to choose. But they seldom exercise it, and may well lose it.

We all have a lot to learn, "emperor"... especially *you*...
....and that's "alt.idiot.big-wooden-head" to *you*, sweatheart. You might have caught me unawares had you used a worldwide newsgroup as a "reply-to".

Just metformin and gemfibrozil, and an occasional baby aspirin. Yourself?

That's called "Followup-To". "Reply-To" is for e-mails.
>My server carries just >about all the existing newsgroups, and alt.idiot isn't >on the list.
Then send an e-mail to your newsmaster and request it to be added. news:alt.idiots is a valid newsgroup, see:

Darn! ;o)

Usually, spammers won't read the groups they spam in. If you reply to spam and quote it, then you'll make sure people using servers that filtered out the spam will see it. Is this fun to you?
>It's a lot to learn, yet you seem capable.
I try to learn. Hope you, too?

Several reasons. One of them is having fun with people hating PGP-sigs. :o)

LOL! It wasn't me who replied to spam and in the process quoted the URL.

I feel so insulted now.

I know what spam _really_ is. The OP posted this in almost every ng there is. BI >= 20. I'd call that spam. You wouldn't?

You say that like it's a bad thing.

As you may remember, you changed the newsgroup "reply to" header to alt.idiot. My server carries just about all the existing newsgroups, and alt.idiot isn't on the list. However, alt.idiot.big-wooden-head IS on the list as a valid UseNet newsgroup...
news:alt.idiot.big-wooden-head
Now, had you used THIS newsgroup instead of just alt.idiot, my reader wouldn't have caught it, and I most likely wouldn't have noticed it until later when my response failed to show up in the newbies groups.
Now, WHY the hell am I telling you this?

Ah, so sorry, I misread you. Yes, of course it is spam. And I responded because... sometimes spam and the spammers who shag us are FUN to play with!

It's a lot to learn, yet you seem capable.
BTW, I *hate* pgp sigs, however I do rekonize their need sometimes. You been burned? or just being careful?
