While Venus in Sextans is not really a rare position,
Venus in Hydra (next occurence Aug 2007) is a rather
spectacular position of Venus. Shumerian mythology
centered around Tiamat = Hydra and warring female
deities such as later Inana. Whatever the attributions
(Ishtar may be one) the purpose of the service is to
investigate into shumerian skies 4000 BC for cases of
Venus in Hydra (by IAU standards). Shumerian astronomers
(titans) of course knew about Venus approaching the 3
demons of Tiamat (nowdays Sextans, Crater, Corvus).
Venus spans a wide range of constellations, from standard
Ophiucus, to already mentioned Orion, Sextans, Hydra and
of course Cetus, the Leviathan.
If you are not a powerful woman, it is hardly desirable
to have a child with venus in Hydra. Such babies are to
be inclined towards the occult, the beyond, even the dark
side. The natus may receive occult help from important

Venus is retrograde in both Sextans and Hydra (while it might be
direct in other positions. A fixed star in Hydra is used in the
(manual) search for close (e.g. 1 degree) conjunction with Venus.
More sophisticate search would be easier, but is unavailable at
the present time. Occurences of a "close encounter" of Venus
with IAU Hydra are quite frequent towards the range of 3 degrees
(or even 2), thus shumerian astronomers had various opportunity
to study the position. It certainly abounded with symbolism
and possibly sinister meaning. Note that Venus in Hydra happens
when most gurus estimate a sort of climax in planetary initiation.
One recent channeling (published on the site) claims May 2005th
as entry into a new phase (5th attention), while 2004 was and is
about clearing (thus pain) and 4th dimension. attacking Iran may
be humanity's last error., as harassing Shumer, the navel of the
planet, wasn't enough. My sources have the city of Montona in

Astrologers took time to delineate the 4 basic positions of Cetus
in one's horoscope, E S W N according to azimuthal logic. Thus one
can have Sedna in Cetus on the meridian in due South.

The traditional interpretation of the 28 zodiacal constellations
is not always readily available through german folk and peasants
as folk lore disliked or did not adopt some of the 28 zodiacal
constellations. Luckily the folk stores what no modern astrologer
even dreams of, not only most of the zodiacal constellations, but
also very colorful delineations of extrazodiacal constellations
along with Juiter moons (as well as other planets satellites)
which were obviousely used in folk astrology. Thus Triangulum
is known to the german peasant. We had Triangulum in 66 context,
as well as many occasions with centaurs like 2004 PY42.

The peasant would determine the south meridian point or due south
and east point or due east, something that the modern astrologer
does not have in his programs. Thus the peasant would measure the
ascendant in due east and the ascendant would be Hydra or Cetus.

Since peasants marry, they observe the western horizon for any of
the 16 constellations (depending on the century of course) that
may serve as omen in due west. This is again something completely
unknown even to modern german astrologers (there was one in Muenchen
but he apparently settled in France. Lutz Rathke invented the 17
rathke planets that we called the Dark Planets).

Note that albeit german peasants were observing certain skies under
certain precessions, the systems got mixed thus Triangel might be a
guest from other folk lores. Cygnus and Lepus were ascendental aeons
ago, as we demonstrated years ago, an ancient ruler could have
ascendant
Lepus. What makes folk lore amazing is that they observed
contemporary
comets as well. When Ceres and the main belt asteroids (like
Eunomia)
were introduced, they had basic meanings for them, too. Ceres was
about crops, Juno about a lovely (but often just pretty) wife and so
on.

Some constellations are political like Sternbild Herz Carls II. Some
are zodiacal like Peitsche. Some pertain to the southern hemisphere
which can only mean they were brought by navigators. Der

Plejaden, Henne (?), + Kreutz, Thetis (Fuelhorn) CORNVCOPIA, Lilie

Oberon (Schmetterling, O5, Oberon 5), (Fackel) Phobos (we had vast
examples of phobosocentrical astrology, Keule (Torch), Hasen (we had

zodiacal constellation SCVTVM; we had Juno in Scutum), the Boat
(ARGO
NAVIS), Crater (Chariklo in Crater, the Graal) CXrater could ascend
in
due east when Aries was an ascendental constellation, too, at the
time
of the pharaohs, Clouds (?), Athene Pallas in various forms even as
an
owl (thus a very refined astrologer worked out behind this folk
tales).
And there's more. Quite a collection of omens, folk sayings, sailor
moons...

Hydra is thus about evil tongues and envy. Envy is known even to
gods
like Tiamat. The snake and the dove lay out a perfect tantric
ritual.

Cetus is about fish dinners (we had Moon in Cetus and occult fish
dinner).
The Leviathan "whale" from beriah also symbolizes the Great Work
(later
on folk labor). Dreaming ancients watermonsters can be portentous of
a
big (good) change in life, but also a sort of intuition that we have
a hacker on our back, and a deadly, too, the voladero. See

positions. Another currently quoted example is Aug 4th 2004 with Moon

Astronomical Zodiac has 28 constellations according to the IAU

As precession progresses, the constellations rising in due east
change, thus at some epoch one can have Aries rising in due east. In
another epoch one can have perhaps Lepus rising, or Draco setting. The
southern and northern horizon, as well as the nadir and zenith of the
horoscope, are studied accordingly.
